gwk invests in the development of its technological expertise with an asset deal

gwk Gesellschaft Wärme Kältetechnik mbH, based in Meinerzhagen, adds Hahn Enersave’s temperature control technology sector products to its product range.

Just two years after the take over of its own company by technotrans AG in Sassenberg, the Sauerland-based system supplier of cooling and temperature control technology continues its growth course with the take over of the key technologies, patents and assets of Hahn Enersave GmbH. Ralf Radke, managing partner of Hahn Enersave, is delighted about his new task with gwk. Under his management, as new Business Development Manager for gwk, the innovative and highly efficient “enersave” temperature control technology is to be integrated in gwk and developed further and expanded. “Our customers will benefit from the international sales and service network of gwk and the technotrans Group as a whole.”

“For us this addition makes absolute sense. We will be able to achieve valuable enhancements in our product portfolio and customer relations in the plastics processing industry and strengthen our market position as a result. Furthermore, in Ralf Radke we have gained a well-known specialist in temperature control technology with outstanding network connections in the industry, who will be assisting us with the further development of our company,” explains Helmut Gries, Sales and Marketing Manager.

Dr. Michael Zaun, Technology and Production Manager, adds: “We have over 50 years of experience in the development and production of high-quality temperature control units and cooling systems and can therefore provide customers with a guarantee of continued excellent quality. Thanks to the new synergies gained, we will now be expanding the energy-efficient temperature control solutions sector further.”

As a member of the technotrans Group, which is listed on the stock exchange and is a leading global system provider of fluid technologies with 24 sites and 1,350 employees, gwk combines the strengths of a corporate company with the flexibility of a medium-sized enterprise steeped in tradition. GWK is represented in Germany with a total of 19 sales and service locations. In addition, over 32 representative offices worldwide are further evidence of the company's international focus. The network around the world is also enhanced by local contact partners for sales and service in 21 additional subsidiaries of technotrans AG that has held 98% of business shares since 2016 as the majority shareholder year. The strategy of the group, which has a focus on sustainable growth, includes healthy generic growth and the acquisition of companies whose core area of business is cooling and temperature control in cutting-edge sectors.
