The rapid growth to 20 mil Smart Cards per month resulted in the necessity to extend the production process. Circle Smart was looking for a fast and flexible solution to increase the required cooling capacity for the extended production. “After the good experience we’ve had with gwk there was no point in finding a different supplier.
Therefore we decided to employ a large compact chiller by gwk, so that we would be prepared for further extensions”, says Hans P. Kästner, CircleSmartCard AG.

Decreasing the current operating costs and lowering the energy consumption at Lehmann & Voss & Co. were the requirements to be fulfilled. They formed the basis for gwk to design an adjusted system configuration for a re-cooling system with a cooling capacity of 1,300 kW and a coldwater temperature of 12°C, as specified by the customer.To adjust the system flexibly and energetically optimal to various production plant utilization, energy-saving, air-cooled industrial coldwater units with continuous performance regulation were installed.
